Lang Lang helps celebrate $2 million All-Steinway gift to Columbus State University

July 2008, New York NY - The Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University, Columbus, GA is becoming an All-Steinway School thanks to a $2 million gift from the Maxine R. and Jack S. Schiffman Foundation. The school will take delivery of 68 new Steinway pianos in August. Ten instruments were chosen at the Steinway factory on July 15 and the selection group was treated to VIP seating at Lang Lang’s historic performance (on the Red Steinway) with the New York Philharmonic in Central Park that evening.
