This immaculate Art Case piano by Frank Pollaro, in the French Art Deco style, can be seen in the Petrossian Lounge at the Bellagio Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. It was inspired by the widely renowned French interior and furniture designer Emile-Jacques Ruhlmann, who epitomized the glamour of the 1920’s French Art Deco style, characterized by its linear symmetry. French Art Deco is veneered with quarter sawn Macassar Ebony that exhibits thin, vertical ribbon striping, punctuated with subtle, elegant ivory darts around the bottom of the case. The darts are mirrored around the tops of the tapered column legs, which are cuffed with genuine silver plated casters. Amboyna Burlwood adorns the music desk and fall board, and silver hardware and a silver plate complete this timeless tribute to such an elegant era.
