Steinway & Sons presents a second volume of Cole Porter songs, this one focused on rarities.
The songs are given beautiful performances by the Emmy Award winning pianist Earl Rose, whose specialty is The Great American Songbook.

About the Artist
Earl Rose is an American composer, pianist, arranger and conductor. Classically trained, Rose graduated from the Mannes College Of Music in New York, majoring in piano and studying with Edith Oppens and Frances Dillon. He also studied abroad at the Vienna Academie Of Music and conducting at The Juilliard School under Emanuel Balaban.
In addition to writing film and television music, Rose has composed several well-known pop and R & B songs. he has received numerous awards for his music, which include winning a Daytime Emmy award, receiving 13 Daytime Emmy Award Nominations and a News and Documentary Emmy Award Nomination. While still in college, he became the Assistant Music Conductor for The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson, and later went on to compose the theme songs for Captain Kangaroo, Dick Cavett Show as well as Ryan’s Hope and All My Children.
Rose, as pianist and conductor, appears in concert throughout the world. These appearances include performing with his jazz trio and Earl Rose and Friends (piano, bass, drums, and cello).
Rose is in the 27th year of his residency as a pianist in Bemelmans Bar at the Carlyle Hotel in New York City.
Rose has released two other albums on the Steinway label: In My Life - The Beatles on a Steinway and New Standards, which includes recent hits as well as favorites from the American Songbook.
