Steinway Artist Lang Lang Plays At The Nobel Peace Prize Award Ceremony

World renowned classical pianist Lang Lang, a Steinway Artist, performed on December 10, 2009 at the Nobel Peace Prize Award Ceremony which took place in Oslo City Hall in Norway. Lang Lang was one of just a few musicians selected to perform at the prestigious event, during which President Obama received the Nobel Prize for Peace.

The Nobel Prize has been awarded for achievements in physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, literature and for peace every year since 1901. Lang Lang performed two pieces during the ceremony on an ebony Steinway Model D concert grand piano. Earlier in the ceremony, Lang Lang chose to play Chopin's Étude in E, Op. 10, No. 3. Lang Lang closed out the ceremony with one of his signature pieces, Liszt's "Liebestraum" ("Love-Dream").
