The Juilliard School Purchases Twelve New Steinway Grands

The Juilliard School recently received delivery of eleven Steinway Model O Grand Pianos and one Steinway Model D Concert Grand Piano. The new instruments were purchased as part of the Juilliard/Lincoln Center Redevelopment Project. The expansion and renovation of Juilliard creates approximately 39,000 square feet of additional space, including new teaching studios, classrooms, practice rooms, a state-of-the-art music technology center, dance studio, jazz performance space, and a blackbox theater.

The Juilliard School has been an All-Steinway School since 1924 and holds an inventory of 253 Steinways, the largest collection of any institution in the world.
