1944 Steinway MODEL B
About This Piano
The origin of this instrument dates to 1871 with the development of the Steinway 85-note Style 1 grand. Modified and renamed the Model B in 1878, it is a wonderfully balanced and versatile instrument and enjoys unrivaled renown as a performance instrument in countless venues from the teaching studio to the recording studio, from the concert hall to the home. Today the Model B is the second-largest concert grand piano handcrafted by Steinway in New York City.
