Candidates for the Steinway & Sons and Jacobs Music Top Teacher program must:
- Teach in one of the following areas: Delaware, Central and Southeastern PA, at the Jersey Shore, and Central or Southern New Jersey
- Be nominated by a student, family, or Jacobs Music representative
- Have three years of professional piano teaching experience
- Teach on a Steinway family instrument (Steinway, Boston, or Essex)
