Belle Chi
Belle Chi is an American pianist recognized as one of the most promising talents of her generation. At age 17, she has won over 20 First Prizes in major international competitions, including the PIARA Hamamatsu International Piano Competition, Elizabeth International Music Competition, and the 2025 Pacific Stars International Piano Competition, where she received First Prize in the Professional Young Artist B (ages 16–18) category, selected from nearly 700 competitors representing over 50 countries, a competition whose past laureates have gone on to compete in the Chopin, Van Cliburn, and Queen Elizabeth International Piano Competitions.
Belle first gained international attention at age 9 as the youngest-ever recipient of Yamaha’s prestigious Star of Yamaha title. Since then, she has performed at leading venues worldwide, including Carnegie Hall, Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall, Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, and The Juilliard School.
Praised for her expressive depth, orchestral imagination, and musical maturity, Belle is also an accomplished concerto soloist. In 2025, she was awarded Second Prize at the Chopin in Cyprus International Concerto Competition, receiving the highest score for Chopin’s Piano Concerto in E minor. She has appeared as soloist with orchestras including the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, Orquestra do Algarve, Jakarta Sinfonietta, and Xiangjiang Philharmonic Orchestra.
Belle currently studies with Alexandre Moutouzkine, co-head of the piano department at Manhattan School of Music, and is mentored by Congyu Wang. She studied under Grace Chung, and has participated in masterclasses with distinguished artists such as Dang Thai Son, Yoheved Kaplinsky, Antonio Pompa-Baldi, Stanislav Ioudenitch, and Orli Shaham.
Her work has been featured by major media outlets including New York Weekly, US Insider, Yahoo News, China Daily News, Economic Daily News, and Commercial Times. In October 2025, Belle appeared on the cover of New York Weekly.
