Josephine Vander West
Josephine Vander West is an English pop and alt-pop singer, songwriter, and musician, best known as one-half of the London-based duo Oh Wonder, alongside Anthony Vander West. She is a classically trained vocalist, pianist, and violinist.
Before forming Oh Wonder, Josephine was a solo artist under the stage name LAYLA, and earlier as Jose Vanders. She first met Anthony Vander West in 2010 at a solo gig in High Wycombe, and they began writing and performing together. The duo initially called themselves Wonder Wonder before settling on Oh Wonder.
Oh Wonder’s hit collaborations include the multi-platinum singles “The Way Life Goes” which earned 4x Platinum certification from the RIAA in the U.S. They also received the BMI London Pop Award (2019).
Their music has amassed hundreds of millions of global streams and cultivated a devoted international fanbase through extensive sold-out touring across north America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
In 2024, Josephine released her debut solo album Find Joy. She also performs under the project name That Woman, with her debut album of the same name released in 2024.
