Rae Pung

Singaporean pianist Rae Pung has studied with pre-eminent pedagogues such as
Ingrid Fliter, Boris Petrushansky, Stanislav Ioudenitch, Andrzej Jasinski and Piotr
Paleczny. Starting her musical studies at the age of four under Thomas Hecht and
then Albert Tiu, Rae was accepted into many prestigious institutions, ultimately
studying in the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Fondazione Accademia Internazionale di Imola, and The Purcell School.
In 2024, Rae released an album “Piano Sonatas” as well as several EPs that were
selected to be on Spotify’s editorial playlist, “Classical New Releases”. Her
collaborative spirit has driven her to work with orchestras all over the world, such as Danube Symphony Orchestra, Dohnányi Symphony Orchestra Budafok, Toruń Symphony Orchestra, The Academic Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, Oberlin Contemporary Ensemble and more. As a KNS Classical Artist, she is currently working to produce her second album “Wisteria Lights” in 2026.
Rae has won prizes in competitions including V International Subcarpathian Chopin Piano Competition, VIII Budapest International Chopin Competition, XII International Piano Competition for Young Pianists in memory of Vladimir Horowitz, XXI International Frederick Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youth, and Hong Kong International Piano Open Competition.
