Ying Guan
Praised for her expressive depth, lyrical poetry, and powerful virtuosity, pianist Ying Guan captivates audiences with performances that are both heartfelt and technically refined. She has has performed with prominent Chinese orchestras, including the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, and Harbin Symphony Orchestra. Her solo performances have taken her to the United States, China, Malaysia, Russia, Germany, and Hungary.
She has been invited five times as a featured pianist on major Chinese television music programs, and was recognized as a First-Class Performer by the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism, reaching millions of viewers and affirming her reputation as one of the leading young pianists of her generation.
In addition to her performance career, she is a music educator based in New York and Philadelphia, serving as a faculty member in the Program in Piano Studies at NYU's Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development, and as the Young
Artist Coordinator at the Philadelphia Young Pianists Academy, playing a key role in
shaping international festivals and competitions that support emerging talents.
