165th Anniversary
Limited Edition Series
Celebrating 165 Years
In 1853 Henry E. Steinway founded Steinway & Sons. 165 years and over 135 patents later, Steinway remains the piano by which all others are judged — and Steinway & Sons instruments remain handcrafted exclusively in the Steinway New York and Hamburg factories.
To celebrate Steinway’s 165th year, steinway is pleased to offer the 165th Anniversary Limited Edition Series. Limited to 165 instruments — one for each year in Steinway’s history — this special design features a unique blend of rich sapele mahogany coupled with the Steinway classic ebony finishes.
Offered as an available option on any model of Steinway grand, the 165th Anniversary Collector’s Edition celebrates the beauty of Steinway craftsmanship with a sapele mahogany prop stick and music desk, accented by contrasting brown leather detailing. A special brown leather piano bench is also included. Each Collector’s Edition will be numbered with a commemorative 165th Anniversary gold plaque.
available Models: S, M, O, A, B & D in Ebony Polish or Satin with Sapele Mahogany accents. The Collectors Edition is also available as a Spirio — the world’s finest high resolution player piano, on Models M & B.
Thirty Steinway Model B grands will be produced to commemorate Steinway’s 165th anniversary. The 165th Limited Edition features rich sapele mahogany on the underside of the lid, prop stick, and fallboard. Beautiful nickel hardware and a silver cast-iron plate, coupled with brown leather accents on the music desk and piano bench complement the Ebony finish. Each piano is numbered with a special 165th Anniversary silver plaque and is also a Steinway & Sons Spirio, the world’s finest high resolution player piano.
