SPIrio Spotlight
Welcome, Cyrus Chestnut! And Spirio debuts from Andrew Rangell and Baptiste Trotignon
Last month, in the midst of a snowstorm, we were lucky to see the great Cyrus Chestnut performing at Smoke Jazz Club. The full performance is now available On Demand via Spiriocast, and this month the complete set joins the Spirio catalog with a video playlist. Classically trained, rooted in church music, and a brilliant jazz musician, Cyrus Chestnut is a true virtuoso.

From Privatbrauerei Löwenherz in Wehrheim
This month we are also fortunate to welcome an artist who has made a career of recording most of the keyboard works of Bach and Beethoven as well as a wide range of fascinating programs, many of them for the Steinway Label. Andrew Rangell finally visited the Spirio studio in New York recently to record music found on his latest Steinway Release, Round Midnight: My Late Night Gallery.
And from France, we get a taste of an exciting jazz pianist and composer who brings a fresh perspective to jazz standards as well as popular music. Baptiste Trotignon plays his versions of Bob Dylan and Radiohead, as well as Serge Gainsbourg and Sonny Rollins.
Our latest SpirioSync videos feature the amazing Peter Bence performing at Privatbrauerei Löwenherz in Wehrheim, home to great beer, as well as a limited-edition Steinway Spirio. He plays two originals, “Four Notes” and “Illumination”.
