Spirio welcomes the Lunar New Year with new music, video and updated playlists to celebrate the year of the Horse. Tian Jiang has recorded his celebrated work, “Shanghai Dream” and Zhenni Li’s upcoming album on the Steinway label, Legend of the Phoenix Queen, has been updated as a Spirio release. Yangmingtian Zhao’s recent Spiriocast from Shanghai will be available on demand on Feb 16. There are 8 hours of music available, along with archived Lunar New Year programs with Wei Luo, Harmony Zhu and Lang Lang’s Spiriocast launch from Beijing.

Multi-Grammy nominated and composer, Joey Alexander, has been in the jazz spotlight since the age of 10 and recently released his seventh album. His engagement at Smoke Jazz Club in NYC included a live Spiriocast, which is now available on demand. This month we release the full set in the Spirio catalog along with a video playlist with memorable highlights from the program.

A favorite pianist from Canada, Stewart Goodyear, returns to Spirio this month with the first of a series of programs.  A Beethoven specialist, he brings our first recording of “The Tempest” sonata to the catalog as well the energetic, breathtaking “Rage Over a Lost Penny”.
