SPIrio Spotlight

RIOPY on Spirio, a Program of Preludes, Summertime Listening & July 4th

Jean-Philippe Rio-Py, known to the world as RIOPY, creates cinematic, emotional works within a minimalist classical style. His debut on Spirio this month features tracks he composed (using a Spirio piano) for his latest album, Be Love. We are thrilled to welcome RIOPY to Spirio and hope you enjoy the music of this wildly popular artist.

And there is a new home on Spirio for music that celebrates summertime. There are many hours of updated playlists and themes to accompany a season full of sunshine, relaxation, or maybe just a change of pace.

Stanislav Khristenko returns to Spirio this month with a set of Preludes, also found on his latest album on the Steinway Label. Introduced in the Baroque era typically as an introductory movement, the format blossomed in the Romantic period as an independent work often presented within a cycle. Khristenko has created his own cycle of preludes that explores the genre through musical history.

Our celebration of American Music continues this month with a new playlist for Independence Day as we reach the 250th Anniversary on July 4th.
