Position Summary:
This role is responsible for providing operational, administrative and event support assistance for assigned East Coast showrooms and store managers.
Onsite/Offsite Location Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support to the following showrooms – SPG, NJ; SPG, Miami; Steinway & Sons, Greenwich and SPG, Long Island, Certified Pre-Owned at the factory.
• Handle all sales documents, posting and payment accounting.
• Maintains regular communications with NY office to ensure proper reporting deadlines are met.
• Maintains accurate records of vendor invoices, purchase order requests, and inventory files.
• Maintains supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies and placing and orders, and verifying receipt of supply orders.
• Five-day work week with at least one weekend day.
Onsite Locations:
• Support and facilitate communication and logistics with freight/movers in connection with events, customer deliveries and shipping/receiving store inventory.
• Supports customer interaction as necessary.
• Contributes to team effort by helping out on projects as needed.
• Provide operational support for special events when needed.
• As directed by the store manager, manage and maintain showroom to ensure a clean and upscale image as well as a positive store experience.
Qualifications, education and experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in a music related field (or related experience)
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with a positive attitude and maintain a professional demeanor.
• Superior planning, and organizational skills
• Strong knowledge of MS Word, Outlook and Excel
• Highly motivated, results-oriented self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Candidates must be able to lift 20-50 lbs. and be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
